Don’t Resolve What You Can Do Today!

Making resolutions every year is now an embarrassing cliche.

Hardly 10% of you keep them and you are labelled, “The New Year’s Resolutionists”

2020 should have proved to you the folly of waiting to make your eating, workout, savings and financial habits better.

You do not have the luxury of time. Youthful indiscretions become middle age failures as if the time in between did not happen.

Instead of waiting for the ball to drop at some party or square, begin today. You do not have a choice.

Look at it from the other side as in nature.

Does Mother Earth wait for her children to stop misbehaving to begin restoring balance. We have been talking about the rainforest, deforestation, and CO2 emissions for decades.

We use war and politics to deny countries an even exchange of good and so many starve where they have nothing to trade.

The greedy will see their fortunes lost because the Earth cannot be bribed, cajoled, murdered or squandered for long.

Earth is the richest living world within 50 light years and without warning 2020 showed mother’s first swat at the flies who inhabit her lands and pollute her seas.

You have no choice to make habits now that will resolve problems later. The best choices you can make for yourself now like food that doesn’t rape the environment, healthy exercise that doesn’t lower your immune system, sharing with the needy and penance to your God, Goddess, or both will begin to set a pattern for good.

If it doesn’t change now, the people will always think their greed, sloth, war, and pride will not cause them or the world harm but in the end the world will become a blank slate again; ready to create the next species to manage her resources like responsible heirs should.
